The Elemental Spheres

Each of us, at least mentally should be made up of equal parts of the 5 elements of Fire, Air, Water, Earth, and Spirituality.  To even come close to 'Higher Spiritual Awareness' the 4 baser elements of Fire, Air, Water, and Earth need to be on an even keel so as to achieve inner harmony and balance in our lives.

I realize that some people will consider equating a persons inner make-up to that of these simple 5 elements will seem absurd but if you sit down and study the individual elements and their esoteric meanings I believe you will change your mind about this being an absurd notion.

I have been working on a way to make this whole concept of elements and inner make-up sound both reasonable and plausible.  I call it 'The Elemental Spheres of the Mind'.

Instead of considering the human brain a gray mass consisting of names and terms that have little meaning to the average person lets just pretend for the sake of argument that the human brain consists of only 5 separate and distinct parts.  I will call these 5 parts Spheres, or Spheres of Influence.  And these 5 spheres make each of us who we are.  Some of these spheres mix with one another really great, others mix fairly well, while other spheres just can't seem to get along no matter how hard they try.  In fact the spheres that don't get along have actually stopped even trying to co-mingle because it's just to stressful for our minds when they do cross paths.  These out of whack spheres are not just 'Unfriendly' but out and out enemies to our tranquility and peace of mind.

To help you further grasp the 'The Elemental Spheres of the Mind' I have created a graphic image that I hope will help (what a surprise, LOL).

The 'Fire Sphere'

Note the Fire sphere in the top left side of the image.  More importantly note the Fire spheres 'red arm' and how it swings around and makes contact with both the 'green arm' of the Earth Sphere and the 'yellow arm' of the Air Sphere.

But also take note that the Fire spheres red arm NEVER comes into contact with the 'blue arm' of the Water sphere.  So what does this tell you?

Both the Fire and Air spheres are considered the 'Active Qualities' of our mind while the Earth and Water spheres are the 'Passive Qualities' of our make-up.  When Fire and Air mix the combination makes for some fairly b and active qualities in our personal make-up since both are active.  But when Fire and Earth mix it also makes for some strong qualities but not as strong as Fire and Air since both of these elements are considered the active parts of our libido, while with Fire and Earth you have one Active quality and one Passive Quality that acts upon who we are and our internal make-up.

The 'Air Sphere'

The yellow arm of the sphere of Air wraps counter-clockwise around and contacts both the arm of the sphere of Fire and the arm of the sphere of Water.

This is telling you that the Air sphere is 'friendly'and CAN mix with both the sphere of Fire and the sphere of Water.

But the yellow arm of the sphere of Air NEVER comes into contact with the green arm of the sphere of Earth.  So what does this tell you?

That the Air sphere is 'unfriendly' and DOES NOT mix well with the sphere of Earth.

The 'Water Sphere'

The 'blue arm' of the sphere of Water wraps counter-clockwise around and contacts both the arm of the sphere of Earth and the arm of the sphere of Air.

This is telling you that the Water sphere is 'friendly' and CAN mix with both the sphere of Earth and the sphere of Air.

But the blue arm of the sphere of Water NEVER comes into contact with the red arm of the sphere of Fire.  So what does this tell you?

That the Water sphere is 'unfriendly' and DOES NOT mix well with the sphere of Fire.

Both Water and Earth spheres are Passive qualities and for this reason make for a stronger influence than does Water and Air because Water is Passive while Air is Active.

The 'Earth Sphere'

The 'green arm' of the sphere of Earth wraps counter-clockwise around and contacts both the arm of the sphere of Water and the arm of the sphere of Fire.

This is telling you that the Earth sphere is 'friendly' and CAN mix with both the sphere of Water and the sphere of Fire.

That the Earth sphere is 'unfriendly' and DOES NOT mix well with the sphere of Air

Both Earth and Water are Passive qualities and for this reason make for a stronger influence than does Water and Fire because Earth is Passive while Fire is Active.

Some Simple Rules

All the stuff above can be condensed down into a few simple rules for the Elemental Spheres.

1. Fire and Water are 'unfriendly' and weaken each other.
2. Air and Earth are 'unfriendly' and weaken each other.
3. All other combinations are 'friendly' and strengthen each other.
4. Fire and Air are Active elements/qualities.
5. Water and Earth are Passive elements/qualities.

The way I see it Earth and Fire and Air and Water are neutral and neither weaken or strengthen each other. But this determination is up to you.

Use this chart to figure out your elemental make-up to the questions below.

Use a range of choices and numbers if think you need to.

Example: My Elemental Fire traits run from 2. Very Low to 5. Good
