The 1-Triad

The Magician is unstoppable, especially if he uses his Shadow cards/effects/influences (The Wheel of Fortune: Key/Trump 10 and The Sun: Key/Trump 19) to best advantage.

The One Triad can be both very powerful, or very destructive.

The One Triad
Key/Trump 1 [I]: The Magician (Air)
Key/Trump 10 [X]: The Wheel of Fortune (Fire)
Key/Trump 19 [XIX]: The Sun (Fire)

A very dynamic trio, which can have both positive and negative results. If you add the Sub-Shadows (cards whose numbers end with a 1) you can add Strength: Key/Trump 11 [XI] (or Justice) and The World: Key/Trump 21 [XXI] into the mix.

Normally I would read Key/Trump 11 as Justice but for some reason Strength just fits better in this triad. Thus going through this triad with it's Sub-Shadows added we would have;

Key/Trump 1 [I]: The Magician (Air)
Key/Trump 10 [X]: The Wheel of Fortune (Fire)
Key/Trump 19 [XIX]: The Sun (Fire)
Key/Trump 11 [XI]: Strength (Fire)
Key/Trump 21 [XXI]: The World (Earth)

Used properly The Magician with all his skills, talents, and abilities to accomplish whatever he sets out to do - does so, as indicated by the completion of The World.

You might have noticed that if I were to use Justice as Key/Trump 11 instead of Strength I would end up with an 'unfriendly' Air-Earth elemental combo.

Key/Trump 11 [XI]: Justice (Air)
Key/Trump 21 [XXI]: The World (Earth)

Which is another reason I think Strength works better in the triad over Justice.

Now here's the rub. No Water/Emotions are present. This triad will run over you without even stopping to think about the human puddle it left in the road. It's all about the drive to succeed (at any cost).

The One Triad with Sub-Shadows
Key/Trump 1 [I]: The Magician (Air)
Archetype: The Innovator, The Motivator, The Wheeler/Dealer
Example of Archetype: P.T. Barnum, Bill Gates, Tony Robbins, Thomas Edison, Miss Cleo

The Number 1: Root, the Seed, new beginnings/endeavors, self, ego, individuality, motivation, driving force,  determination.

Key/Trump 10 [X]: The Wheel of Fortune (Fire) (Shadow)
Key/Trump 19 [XIX]: The Sun (Fire) (Shadow)
Key/Trump 11 [XI]: Strength (Fire) (Sub-Shadow)
Key/Trump 21 [XXI]: The World (Earth) (Sub-Shadow)


You'd have to be totally blind not to see how beautifully these cards integrate. But then I'm weird, and possibly mad as a hatter so what the hell.

The mumbling silently ceases as the Donster sinks into the word abyss.
